Travelling Keystone Goes to Charity

Monday 19th November 2018

On Monday 19 November three brethren of New Temple Mark Lodge No 1438 braved the late autumn rain (and the M6 traffic) to travel from Chorley to Bryn Masonic Hall for a meeting of Lodge of Charity of Mark Master Masons No 935.

The Worshipful Master of New Temple WBro Andrew Bibby ProvDepGSwdB, accompanied by VWBro Paul Snape PGJO and WBro John Askew, were warmly welcomed by the Worshipful Master WBro David Whitmore and the brethren of Lodge of Charity and were treated to a demonstration of the Ceremony of Advancement, with the Lodge DC WBro Evan Walsh PPrGSD taking the Chair for the first part of the ceremony and ADC WBro Robert Heyes PPrGSW the second part. As would be expected with the two DC’s in charge, the ceremony was exemplary and greatly appreciated by all present.

Following a convivial and light-hearted festive board, during which the Lodge secured a future visit from VWBro Snape after he won a bottle of whisky in the raffle, WBro Bibby had great pleasure in presenting the Travelling Keystone to WBro Whitmore, who has already made plans to help the Keystone on its journey around the Province. Their duty done, the Chorley brethren made their way home having thoroughly enjoyed an excellent evening of Mark Masonry.Following a convivial and light-hearted festive board, during which the Lodge secured a future visit from VWBro Snape after he won a bottle of whisky in the raffle, WBro Bibby had great pleasure in presenting the Travelling Keystone to WBro Whitmore, who has already made plans to help the Keystone on its journey around the Province.
